…you’re outta here!
Hehe! That was a phrase on a pillow in a store window in when we were in downtown Williamsburg and I loved it. For all of those who celebrated Christmas, I hope Santa was good to you and you had a fabulous time with your family. So let’s back up, shall we?
So Wednesday, my dad, mom, and I got into the car to go to my grandparents house in Williamsburg. It usually takes 3.5 hours and thought we’d miss a good amount of the traffic before Christmas Eve. Hmm… what we didn’t know was that there would be three trucks protecting the roads for the ice that MIGHT be coming this weekend or the beginning of next week. So 6 hours later… we arrived! ugh!
But, my grandparents house was very nicely decorated.
We relaxed Christmas Eve and went to a grocery store (Farm Fresh) that we don’t have here which was a lot of fun. I know I know my mom and I love going to grocery store that we don’t have and looking around. But my mom loves to get Cipriani pasta and olives there and I found BARNEY BUTTER! yayyy!
Later on, my parents and I went to downtown Williamsburg to walk around before going to dinner at The Trellis. It was beautiful!
and one of my favorite places….
After a wonderful dinner, we went home and left Santa some cookies before calling it a night. (yes, my grandmother made those. they’re needlepointed)
Christmas morning we had traditional blueberry pancakes. yum! What are your traditions on Christmas morning? However, even more so, our tradition is at Christmas dinner…
…with broccoli salad! My grandmother always shaped it like a christmas tree and while I make it throughout the year, it’s special at Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
